BUILD TRUST WITH CITIZENS

• Did you know that Councillors just awarded themselves 17 and 20% pay raises.  And on top they will get all the raises that staff receive.  And during a pandemic! Were you consulted? Such a pay raise if its even proposed should be put to a vote at the municipal election.

• Hold regular town hall meetings in the community

• Have roundtable meetings on a regular basis

• When significant proposals come to the Town (such as the Mega Quarry and Muskoka Royale), there should be widespread notification to all residents including seasonal residents; not just the current minimum legal notification

• There is a need to push for provincial changes to official plan and zoning appeals. The development industry wants to make it cost prohibitive to launch appeals
